This is what my day looked like yesterday: Woke up at 4am and started grading and recording test scores. 5am - got hungry, so I opened a bag of Doritos. Ate a couple of handfuls, and then took the bag back to the kitchen. Continued grading. 7am - got in the shower and quickly put on a little bit of make-up. 7:30am - heading to meet friends for breakfast when I got a message saying otherwise. I get coffee, nevertheless, and drove to my classroom to work. 7:50am - 10:30 - worked in my classroom. Entered grades. Finished the scoring job I had set my T.A. on. Filed away folders of assignments having already been assigned. Making copies of papers needed for next week. 10:30am - head home. Starving...having only eaten a couple of handfuls of Doritos at this point. 10:50am - came home and make some flat bread with ingredients previously purchased from the farmers' market. DEVOUR. 12:00pm - start getting Audrey excited about going swimming with me (for the first time this season). After getting ready, we take a dip in the pool. Music blasting, laughter and shivering. 1:45pm - shower, lunch, and then the making of a living room picnic and a Wizard of Oz marathon (Oz, the Great and Powerful, Return to Oz, and Wizard of Oz). 2:30pm - movie time! 6:30pm - dinner time (PIZZA!). 7pm - back to the marathon. 9pm - put Audrey to sleep. It was a busy, productive, and fun day! It's a busy time of the school year, so my working so much is normal. BUT, I am learning to balance as my kid should always be my number one priority. I'm glad to have that time with my kid yesterday. She makes me complete. |
Prompt: What was the timeline of your yesterday?
