All I said to my mom was, "Sally Field".
So...we saw it, and I am sure I found my spirit animal in Sally Field as Doris. Oh my goodness! What a sweet and heartbreaking movie. I LOVED the Doris character. She was honest, spunky, and good weird. Everything I am drawn to in others.

This is a story about a woman (of a certain age) who has a fire light inside her by a much younger guy. A friendship blooms and disappointment lingers around the corner. Doris forms this friendship just as her mom and long time roommate dies. I can't say there is anything I didn't like about this movie. It was sweet.
I can't wait to own this one when it comes out on DVD. My mom and I laughed so hard...and got super quiet during some moments. This was the perfect movie to watch today.
When we were leaving, three older women stood up in the row in front of us, one of them looked back and said to us, "Well, it looks like we all need to go find a younger man now." I was dying! PS. The theater was filled with an older crowd. I reminded my mom these were my people as I am secretly 85 years old!
