Yesterday morning, I was on my own with my bug.
Normally, Audrey is sleeping when I go to the farmers' market. Yesterday was a little bit different. Not only did I drag her to one farmers' market, but we went to TWO! We also went to the movies. This poor girl was so worn out!
When we were downtown, we drove past this abandoned do-it-yourself car wash. I told Audrey that I wanted to go back by it before jumping back on the freeway...not because I wanted to wash my car, but because there is some cool graffiti art on the walls of this car wash. I LOVE the graffiti downtown Phoenix. Maybe that is bad to admit, but it's true. I may actually take Audrey driving around looking for walls she can pose in front of. That's how this mom rolls.
We laughed, we talked, we ate junk...it was everything a mother-daughter relationship should be. Sometimes I just want to freeze these moments in time. I want to capture the essence of Audrey in a vile to wear around my neck. Growing up kind of sucks. Wouldn't it be cool if we could choose an age to remain? Maybe not, but I do know that I loved my day with my girl yesterday.
This morning Audrey asked if I could hear her shoes sparkle.
I told her I sure could.
My kid is the best.

Prompt: When was the last time you spent solid, quality time with your mom? What did you do? What did you talk about?
